Here Come the Holidays

It’s that time of year again. As Octopus Caps has recently gone through a big transition, you may be wondering about holiday stock and orders. We have a small stock and will be posting them up in our Etsy shop soon, with lots of sizes and colors.

As for custom orders (drum roll please), we are excited to announce that we are bringing them back in 2013! Keep an eye open for our new mailing list, that can be found in the top tabs of this site.

Happy Holidays!

Big Changes!

Hello all! We’re excited to announce that Octopus Caps has moved to sunny California! We’re just a tad north of San Diego, and keeping the caps alive.

Since this is a pretty big change, we will be putting all new orders outside of our Etsy shop on hold until we’ve settled. Outstanding orders will be carried out as usual.

We’ll be updating more soon! Until then, keep riding!

Octopus Caps are Back!

We’re back with a brand new website and Etsy Shop!

Find the shop here:

Octopus Caps Shop

You may be asking:

Where is the custom cap order form?

-Nowhere. We’ve decided to start fresh with an online shop of ready-made caps. If you have any questions about this, feel free to e-mail us. (

Do you have a physical store?

-No. We don’t have an actual shop for you to visit in Columbus, but many bike shops around town do carry our caps. Even better, our caps are in bike shops around the US and abroad. We’re getting our list of these shops compiled and it will be on our SHOP page shortly. Hopefully we’ll add more shops to the list very soon! If you want to see our caps in your favorite bike shop in your favorite city, let us know!

Will you still make my t-shirt into a cap?

-Yes! Just send us an e-mail (, and we’ll let you know what to do!

Thanks for supporting Octopus Caps. We’re excited to get going again and provide you with high quality, handmade, eco-friendly cycling caps.

New Caps

Just posted a whole buncha new caps to the Etsy shop, including this Black Sabbath T-Shirt cap.
Just a reminder, we’re shutting down shop for custom orders on Thursday December 1st, but will have 50+ caps in our Etsy shop right up till Christmas.

The Meandering Match

We just sent a couple of caps off to Jameson and Laurel, aka The Meandering Match, who are doing a 4262 mile ride across the United States next summer. They are looking to raise $1 per mile they ride to donate to a great cause.
They plan on working with a non profit named Bikes Without Borders. Check them out here. They provide bicycles to local health care workers as well as bicycle ambulances to rural towns in Malawi, Africa. Malawi is a very poor nation and there is a huge incidence of death to many people there including pregnant mothers because of the inaccessibility of health care.
Check out Jameson and Laurel’s website here. They are currently in Vietnam, and their blog is pretty entertaining for anyone who has a case of wanderlust like myself.

Octopus Kids

We just opened our Octopus Kids Shop on Etsy!

These caps make great holiday gifts for the little ones in your life. They’re handmade like the rest of our caps in Columbus, Ohio, and made from recycled wool and specialty fabrics.

Holiday Orders

It’s that time of year again…
The Holidays are here!

Get your holiday custom cap orders in by Thursday, December 1st at midnight.

As of December 2nd, we’ll be taking down the website for big changes, and it will be down until the first week in January of 2012.

Even though custom orders won’t be available between December 2nd and January 6th, we’ll have the Etsy store up and running that whole time. You can order an Etsy cap for delivery by Christmas up until December 20th.

Let us know if you have any questions by emailing us at

Also, if you’re in the Columbus area and looking for a ready-made cap, go check out the selections at Trek Bike Store on Sawmill, Roll: at Easton, and Paradise Garage in the Short North.

Day of the Dead Caps

Take a trip over to our Etsy shop to see some new Day of the Dead caps we just listed.

Get ’em while they’re hot!
